The Hitachi Eco Conference 2010 is a platform for notable local, regional and international experts to present perspectives on solutions for a sustainable environment. Centered on the theme, Conserving Biodiversity through Efforts by Public and Private Partnerships, the conference was organized on 3 September 2010 with the support of the National Parks Board.
The Guest-of-Honour for the event was Minister Mah Bow Tan, Minister for National Development. Keynote Speaker Dr Thomas Eugene Lovejoy, accomplished conservation biologist, shared an insightful keynote speech on Climate Change and the Living Planet.
About 380 participants made up of government bodies, non-governmental organizations and business decision makers attended the event. An exhibition which showcased Hitachi’s environmentally-conscious products and services was also organized in conjunction with the conference.
