Hitachi Demonstrates Efforts to Achieve a Sustainable Society at the Eco-Products International Fair (EPIF) 2011

New Delhi, India, February 10, 2011 – Hitachi Asia Ltd. today announced that Hitachi Group will demonstrate its strong commitment to achieve a sustainable society through an exhibition of the Hitachi Group’s Social Innovation Business contributions at the Eco-Products International Fair (EPIF) 2011. The event will be held from 10-12 February 2011 at Pragati Maidan at New Delhi, India.

The EPIF is the largest international environmental fair in Asia featuring environmentally conscious technology, products and services by enterprises and organizations around the world. The theme for EPIF 2011 is “Green Productivity for Sustainable Energy and Environment” and participants include key political, economic, and business players and experts.

Mr Yasunori Taga, Chief Executive for Asia, Hitachi, Ltd., said, “We are pleased to be part of EPIF as it is in line with our Environmental Vision which aims to preserve the environment and promote a sustainable society through the prevention of global warming, the conservation of resources and the preservation of ecosystems. The 72-square metre Hitachi booth (Hall 18, Booth 4) will include exhibits such as Hitachi’s solutions in Gas Turbine, Smart Grid, Energy-Saving Inverter, Photovoltaic/Power Conditioning System, IT-Facility Consolidation System, Electric Drive Machines, Amorphous Transformer, Oil-free Screw Compressor, Clear Ballast System, Membrane Bioreactor, Intelligent Water System, Split Air Conditioners, Chillers, Amorphous Metal Ribbon and Cut Core and Conductive Films for Solar Cells.
