Hitachi Showcases Total Transport Solutions at SITCE 2016

Singapore, 18 October 2016 – Hitachi Asia Ltd. today announced that it will showcase its total transport solutions at the LTA-UITP Singapore International Transport Congress and Exhibition (SITCE).

Southeast Asia’s urban population has been steadily increasing as the region’s economy is projected to grow further. In order to make our cities a better place to live, work and play, there is a need to provide sustainable urban transport solutions.

Hitachi is committed to realize smart and sustainable cities through its Social Innovation business, based on the “collaborative creation” approach with its partners and stakeholders.

The 90 square metre Hitachi booth (Hall 401, Booth C29) at SITCE will showcase its suite of innovative and total transport solutions. In the area of Asset Management, Hitachi provides a resilient railway system made possible by improving collaboration between operation and maintenance. By further incorporating intelligent IT operations such as Hitachi’s “Doctor Cloud” to collect operation and maintenance data, the life of customer facilities can be extended.

To enhance commuters’ traveling experience, Hitachi’s People Flow Analysis Solution is not only able to analyse existing human flow but also perform modelling and simulation for predictive analysis. Its security systems such as face recognition, integrated video management solution, and finger vein authentication system (which was awarded Silver in Access Control Category of the recent Safety & Security Asia (SSA) ‘Merlion Awards’) will also play an important role to ensure that our cities remain safe.

At the exhibition, Hitachi will also showcase its track record in rolling stock and train signaling systems, including the Class 800 series train models that it has provided in the U.K.

SITCE 2016 will be held at Suntec Singapore from 19-21 October 2016. Under the theme “Innovating Transport for Liveable Cities”, SITCE 2016 will focus on innovative solutions for urban transport systems. It will bring together authorities, policy-makers, urban planners, transport operators as well as solution providers for a meaningful discussion of innovative solutions for issues and challenges faced by all in the business of urban transport.
