Singapore International Water Week 2012
Themed Water Solutions for Liveable and Sustainable Cities, the Water Expo of Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) 2012 was held from 2 – 4 July 2012 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, Marina Bay Sands. Endorsed by the Singapore’s Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources as well as PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency, the event presented a global platform for connecting water solutions policymakers, industry leaders, experts and practitioners to share and co-create innovative water solutions.
The Hitachi Group of Companies showcased a diverse range of advanced water products and solutions, ranging from the Hitachi Intelligent Water System, Hitachi Membrane Bioreactor and Reverse Osmosis System to the recently-introduced Reagent-free Tap Water Quality Monitor.

Visitors at the Hitachi booth who came to experience our new water innovations took the opportunity to network with our water specialists and sought consultation on the specific challenges faced by their organizations. Esteemed visitors to our booth included Mr. Yoshiro Mori, former Prime Minister of Japan, Mr. Atsushi Masuko, Director General of the Tokyo Metropolitan Waterworks Bureau, as well as VIP attendees of the Water Leaders Summit which consisted of high-level professionals in the water industry.
Hitachi is proud to win the coveted Best Booth Design Award (Second Runner-Up for Category C – 96 sqm and above) after a tough round of deliberation by the judges. Mr Mizuki (Hitachi, Ltd. Water Environment Solutions Division) received the award from the SIWW Committee on the second day of the event at the Hitachi booth.
