The Hitachi Eco Conference 2009 aimed to address pertinent environmental issues with insights and perspectives from government organisations and industry players.
Themed “Sustaining our Environment through Technologies and Collaboration”, the Hitachi Eco Conference 2009 was held on 16 March 2009 at Fullerton Hotel with the support of Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Singapore Economic Development Board, National Environment Agency and Energy Studies Institute. About 275 participants attended the event.
The Guest-of-Honour for the event was Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister for the Environment and Water Resources and the Keynote Speaker was Professor Daniel Esty, renowned author and Professor of Environmental Law and Policy at Yale University.
The conference consisted of two seminars, the Energy Seminar and the Water Seminar. An exhibition which showcased Hitachi’s eco-technologies was also organized in conjunction with the conference.
