Hitachi Asia Ltd. Honoured as Leading IT Vendor
Dear Hitachi Customers and Associates,
We are pleased to announce that Hitachi Asia Ltd. has been honoured as one of the Global 75 ICT vendors in the MIS Asia’s 2011 Strategic 100 Index. This annual index of the world’s top ICT vendors and service providers is compiled by MIS Asia, a leading IT management magazine circulated to CIOs and senior IT management across the Asia-Pacific.
This is a strong accolade for Hitachi Asia, the recognition that our high-performance technologies and solutions provide customers with an edge over the competition. Technology has become an indispensable part of businesses today, whether for operational efficiency or to build customer loyalty. This award is further validation that companies value best-in-class IT solutions.
The honourees in the MIS Asia’s 2011 Strategic 100 Index are those generally recognised by a panel of judges to be world leaders in their field, in terms of reach, operational and financial might, and influence in the ICT industry.
The MIS Asia’s 2011 Strategic 100 Index select panel of judges comprised technology practitioners, academicians and consultants, who evaluated all nominated organisations based on the following criteria: IT industry leadership, product and service innovation, strategic role(s) played in the global enterprise IT market, contribution(s) made to IT industry development and financial performance in the past fiscal year.
The judges then selected those with the highest scores for placement in the categories: Global 75 (for those with a global footprint); Regional 20 (for those who clearly dominate in Asia); and Rising Stars (for the five fairly young companies that appear to be driving major technology developments and deployment trends, moving forward).
The 2011 Strategic 100 honourees received their commemorative plaques at an event in Hong Kong at the Pier 7 Café & Bar on November 23, and in Singapore at ARDENT’S Cafe Bar on December 8.
Separately, Hitachi’s leading system management software JP1 had bagged two other awards recently.
In October 2011, Hitachi’s JP1 won the Best IT Asset Management System award at the Computerworld Malaysia 10th Readers Choice Awards 2011. Commonly acknowledged as the ‘Oscars of the IT industry’, the awards go to vendors, products, services or solution families that score the highest with their customers who voted in the areas of price, performance, feature sets, reliability and ease of use.
In November 2011, Hitachi’s JP1 was awarded the Best Server Infrastructure Management Solution/Tool award at the 2011 Network World Asia Readers’ Choice Product Excellence Awards. The awards are conferred based on votes from readers of Network World Asia magazine, and the Networks Asia, Security Asia and Storage Asia websites.
Hitachi Asia is honoured to be recognised by both the readers of Computerworld Malaysia and Network World Asia – a clear testament to the results JP1 delivers. This reinforces a recent survey conducted by IDC (1), where Hitachi JP1 continues as the ongoing market leader in the field of worldwide job scheduling software for the third consecutive year!
We thank our large community of users for their vote of confidence, affirming Hitachi’s position as an IT leader.
