To achieve the goal of a decarbonised future, Hitachi Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Hitachi Energy (Thailand) Limited., Santec Power Solutions Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi HC Capital (Thailand) Co., Ltd. have collaborated on a project to encourage a greater reliance on commercial solar power generation in Thailand.

Hitachi Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd.  will offer solar power equipment to customers at zero initial cost, making it extremely easy for businesses to make the switch to greener energy. This equipment will also come with Hitachi Energy (Thailand) Limited. ’s sophisticated battery energy storage system, which will allow customers to fully maximise the utilisation of the generated energy. This collaboration project among 4 companies have the scope of works and activities as per the followings:

Hitachi Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd.  as a project leader, will take the lead in project management and solution consulting. This includes the provision of the Advance Solar String Inverter and Digital Energy Solution, to attain the objective of a smart, sustainable society powered by green energy.

Hitachi Energy (Thailand) Limited. provides Grid Edge Solutions includes the design, supply, test and delivery of e-mesh™ PowerStore, Inverter with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) that allows a seamless integration with existing fossil fuel or renewable energy assets, combining with e-mesh™ automation solution, the automation and control system technology which is an advanced control system built on field proven technology, internationally recognized and operating in flagship projects relating to microgrids, spinning reserve, renewables energy integration and behind the meter (BTM) applications, to increase profitability and unlock new revenue streams by reducing energy cost, maximizing renewable integration and lowering carbon dioxide (CO2), while improving overall reliability.

Santec Power Solutions Co., Ltd. offers one stop services – design, procurement, construction, and maintenance, as a construction and maintenance contractor. Santec Power Solutions Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of SANKO Group which has a large track record of solar power and industrial plant business internationally. Santec Power Solutions Co., Ltd. will provide trouble-free and high-quality construction and maintenance by making use of its group’s knowledge and experience.

Mitsubishi HC Capital (Thailand) Co., Ltd., as a power producer, will enter into Power Purchase Agreement (“PPA”) with a customer, and install solar self-consumption and BESS equipment including panels on the roof of commercial office or factory, as well as sell all electric powers generated.


Hitachi Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and its partners will supply solar power generation equipment to businesses at zero initial investment costs.

The first implementation of the project is conducted at Hitachi Energy (Thailand) Limited.’s facility in Bangpoo Industrial Estate, Samutprakarn province, with the installation and commissioning of the solar-powered rooftop together with battery energy storage system (BESS). The operation will be started around October 2022. This implementation also supports Hitachi Energy (Thailand) Limited.  in their own operation using fossil free electricity.

This implementation will also be used as a showcase to promote the system of renewable energy with the integration of grid edge technology to our customers and the project is set to increase access to solar power for businesses across the nation. It will also serve as a strong demonstration of the viability of renewable energy for businesses.

Currently, plans are in place to expand this initiative to local and Japanese businesses within Thailand in the medium to long term.
