Hitachi to Donate 20M yen for Asian Earthquake and Tsunami Relief

Tokyo, December 29, 2004 ---Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE:6501) has decided to donate a total of 20M yen in disaster relief in the Disasters Caused by the Large-scale Earthquake off the Coast of Sumatra, Indonesia, and the Tsunami in Neighboring Countries. Details and allocation of the funds will be determined upon confirmation of conditions in the various disaster areas.
