JP1/Data Highway allows large files to be transferred through division multiplexing. This means that large files are broken down into smaller files that can be sent simultaneously. These files are then pieced together when the recipient opens it. With smaller files being sent simultaneously, file delivery time is reduced and file integrity is not compromised.

JP1/Data Highway utilizes Internet connections and browsers which reduces costs of installation of hardware, software and dedicated lines. Data sent over Internet connections are also via HTTPS which ensures secure file transfers.
